About the author, Grant Grueninger: From 1998-2000 Grant was in a band called "Syrva". The band was put together in 1998. In March 2000 they had an album in record stores across the US including Tower, Warehouse, and Amazon.com, and a song playing nationally on the major commercial radio stations.  Their song "Fade" reached number 26 on the Gavin Radio charts.

The band disbanded soon afterwards, but Grant went on to write what he'd learned, and what they did, into this guide.  A few years later he and two partners started Filmcomposer.com, and we use the procedures in this guide in our Production Services.
